What is a 2 Stroke Engine?
A 2-stroke engine is characterized by the fact that it has one power stroke for every revolution, or cycle. 2-stroke engines have a high power-to-weight ratio, which makes them good for lawnmowers and scooters – maximum power with minimum weight. Their downside is that they run on a mixture of gas and oil, which produces heavy exhaust that is not good for the environment.

What kind of maintenance do these gas powered scooters require?
Some basic maintenance is required. If riding regularly, it's a good idea to check all the bolts in the scooter every couple weeks (you can use the wrench provided in the toolkit if adjusting is needed). You can also use lock tite on all of the nuts and bolts to prevent them from loosening. It's also a good idea to put some chain oil on the chain about once a month. Also, remember to always put the correct amount of 2-stroke oil in with the gas.
