New LiPo4 Battery packs are now included in all 700Li’s. These new battery packs now consist of 32 batteries total or 2 packs of 16 which are all located in the plastic battery box in the lower part of the scooter under the foot rest area. The total AMP’s across the entire pack is 19AMP’s and each of the 2 packs consists of just under 10 AMP’s each pack. The voltage of each cell is 3.2V. The new charger we are providing has a 5 AMP output and is charging the scooters in just 3 to 4 hours time or less. We are hearing from customers that the range has been 40 Miles per charge. The life of the LiPo4 cells will be 7 to 10 years, the same as our XM-4000Li and XM-5000Li as these cells are of the same type. LiPo4 cells are very stable, do not become unstable, contain no heavy metals, can be disposed of in the regular trash and pose no environmental hazards. The only down side to these cells is they are expensive, as with all Lithium technology, you pay for what you get.

Because electric bicycles have a pedal system (even though they do not need to be used) there is no need for a drivers license, it does not have to be registered with the DMV, and if you follow the bicycle laws you should be able to ride this bike any place bicycles are allowed to operate.
